Surf Life Saving is unique in that it provides opportunities for competitors to participate in the broadest range of sport activities.

Our surf sports events are usually divided into Nipper and Senior carnivals, and include a variety of physical-based races. Senior carnivals include competitors aged U15 through to Opens/Masters.

Once reaching U15s, lifesavers may compete in the Life Saving Championships which involves a series of events which focus on the specific lifesaving skills learnt through our Bronze Medallion. These events include;
In between our surf sports carnivals, there is a variety of Ocean Swim events and Surf craft marathons throughout the season. These include but are not limited to;
State Championships for Surf Life Saving Tasmania are usually held around March each year. There are separate weekends for Open and Masters Championships
