Our Board of Management has been working hard behind the scenes to secure funding for new solar energy panels to be installed at the Surf Club. A successful application was recently submitted to the Tasmanian Community Fund resulting in a $22,000 grant being awarded to the club. The new solar panels will provide up to a 90% reduction in our energy costs (that's a lot of hot showers!) releasing valuable resources to be used elsewhere in the club. The panels will be installed in the near future.
