2011-12 LIFESAVING TRAINING NEWS

Hello Everyone

A quick update on all the lifesaving courses - Please note there are a few changes to the lifesaving calendar.

The SRC course will commence on Sunday the 20th of November 2011, NOT this Sunday as listed on calendar. Please email me if you intend on doing this course.

The ARTC course and updates are being held on Monday the 7th November 2011 at 6pm at the Ulverstone Surf Club please email me if you are interested if you haven't already responded.
 
IRB training has commenced for those who started last year with Rolly this is on a Thursday night and will hopefully be finished soon.

Training for new IRB Drivers and Crew will be on a Wednesday night from 5pm onwards.  I will be running this course for those who have expressed interest.  If you are interested in joining its not to late!

Finally I am in the Process of organising a MAST Boating Course to be held in the next few weeks when this is arranged I will let everybody know.

USLSC Lifesaving Calendar Season 2011-2012

2010-11 LIFESAVING CHAMPIONSHIPS & CHAMPION LIFE SAVER

It was a great result for USLSC at the statewide lifesaving championships at Ulverstone on Saturday February 12th. Laura Wood came out on top in the multi-discipline U17 Champion Lifesaver event while Annika Barry was a very competitive 3rd in the Open division of the same competition. In the patrol teams competition one of our U15 teams in the Wood twins, Jack and Nick, Joseph Mole and Andrew Watson finished 2nd. While finishing just out of the placings our second U15 team of Hannah Best, Kade Lynd, Toby Reyenga and Eli Chapman were also very enthusiastic competitors on the day and all officials commented on the efforts and sportsmanship of our Ulverstone contingent. Congratulations to competitors, coaches, officials and of course mums and dads.
