INTERSTATE RESULTS: A number of new results have been added to the Surf Sports result area. Check out the excellent performances from the Freshwater and Manly venues plus the Interstate results from Collaroy Beach. Some terrific efforts from our Ulverstone contingent. |

OCEAN SWIM SERIES: Four rounds of the 2XU Ocean Swim Championship Series have now been completed and Ulverstone swimmers are leading both the Open Men & Open Women categories. Karina Crocker on 36 points is 13 clear of her nearest rivals Amelia Campbell and Allie Briton who are tied on 23, while Hamish Chapman on 33 points has a 12 point buffer over second placed Richard Geard. With one swim to go at Carlton Park, they are very well placed to take out the title. It's not all about the younger swimmers however as Steve Crocker sits in second spot in the Senior Masters Men division, on 26 points, four behind series leader Philip Tyrell. We wish everybody all the best for the final round. |

STATE TEAM REPRESENTATIVES Congratulations to the following athletes whowere selected in the State Team going to Collaroy on the 24th and 25th January:- Abby Chapman, Oliver Thomson, Hamish Chapman, Karina Crocker, Jordan Lynd, Lily Horniblow, Yonah Duniam, Stephanie Allen, Kade Lynd and Laura Wood. Congratulations also to those athletes selected in the Tasmanian Development Team who competed at the Southern States Challenge in South Australia from January 14th to January 17th:
Hamish Brown, Andrew Watson, Isobel Horniblow. A terrific effort by all competitors and their coaches, ( and parent support crew!) Well done. |

The 2009/2010 competition season will be fast and furious again this season, with the full range of individual, team and multi-discipline events. The return of IRB racing will also add a new dimension to Surf Sports activity this season, with many new members of the organisation yet to see this exciting component of surf lifesaving. The season calendar can be viewed via the link below and alterations and additions will be progressivley updated as new information becomes available. |
